Add damages
Once you have uploaded your images, you can add damages to an inspection. You can either draw them manually or let our AI detect them for you.
To draw damages:
Navigate to the left menu in the Infrastructure Lifecycle Hub.
Click on the Inspections menu item.
Choose an inspection and click on it.
Click on Images.
Click on an image for which you want to add a damage.
Click on Open in split view.
Click on Add damage/image.
Select a damage type.
Draw the damage.
To define the geometry, mark two or more points by left clicking your mouse.
Double-click on the last point to finalize the shape.
10. Click on Create to confirm a damage creation.
Damage types
When adding damages you have to select a specific damage type.
When adding damages manually you can choose between 11 different damage types:
Cavity
Corrosion
Crack
Efflorescence
Exposed Reinforcement
Gravel Pockets
Moisture
Moss
Rust Stain
Spalling
Other
Currently, our AI is specially trained on identifying the following five damage types for concrete surfaces:
Fine cracks
Efflorescence cracks
Exposed rebar
Corrosion
Spalling
More surfaces and damage types will be added to our AI damage detection service in the future.
Mark as no damage
In case of having damage that was falsely detected, there is the possibility of marking them as "no damage". The procedure is as follow:
Navigate to the left menu in the Infrastructure Lifecycle Hub.
Click on the Inspections menu item.
Choose an inspection and click on it.
Click on Damages.
Click on the three dots next to the damage you want to delete.
Click on Mark as not damage.
Deactivated damages can be marked as damage again later.
In the three types of visualization (list view, grid view and split view) it is possible to activate and deactivate the damages.

Click on the image which contains the damage you want to delete.
Delete damages
In case that you want to remove a damage from your analysis, you can do it as follow:
Navigate to the left menu in the Infrastructure Lifecycle Hub.
Click on the Inspections menu item.
Choose an inspection and click on it.
Click on Damages.
Click on the three dots next to the damage you want to delete.
Click on Delete.
If you delete a damage, the corresponding damage id will also be deleted and that number will not be assigned to future damages anymore.
Delete can be done in any of the visualization alternatives.

Click on the image which contains the damage you want to delete.
Bulk operations
To perform bulk operations:
Navigate to the left menu in the Infrastructure Lifecycle Hub.
Click on the Inspections menu item.
Choose an inspection and click on it.
Click on Damages.
Click on Bulk operations.
Select an operation.
Mark as not damage
Mark as damage
Compound
Assign attributes
Delete
Select the damages for which you want to perform a bulk operation.
Click on Apply.
Check the first box to select all damages.
Assign attributes
When performing bulk operations you can assign attributes in order to change damage type, asset, rating and make a comment for multiple selected damages.
Viewing modes
When performing digital inspections you can choose between different viewing modes.
List view
Grid view
Split view
List view: damages are presented in a list.
Grid view: images of the damages are presented in a grid.
Split view: damages are presented in a split view representation.
